We have collaberated together with the Danny Gallivan Trust to cook for the homeless and vulnerable in our community. We do this every Friday, Sunday, and Monday and have been doing so since the beginning of 2024.
The Danny Gallivan Trust is a charity, formed in 2013, provides homeless veterans of all generations with hot food and drinks, sleeping bags, warm clothing, footwear, washing and shaving kits. Welfare teams give assistance in helping these heroes find accommodation, work and introduce them to other agencies that can help these brave men and women get their lives back on track.
Whilst we have strong ties with former service personnel it became clear to us that homelessness is a far bigger problem for the wider community not just veterans. Therefore, we are now doing what we can to help anyone who is homeless in our local community.
We understand that there is to much food waste in households, people often dispose of food items that are approaching their expiry date or are deemed unsaleable. We would like to request that, instead of throwing away these items, you consider donating them to us.
Your donations will help us provide nutritious and healthy meals to those in need. It will also ensure that products are not wasted, but instead, they are used to serve a good cause in our community. We believe that no one deserves to go hungry, and with your help, we can make a difference in the lives of many people.
