The Picnic Hut is a unique Tearooms situated at Haguelands Farm, Burmarsh Kent. So many of our customers enjoy our rustic surroundings inside and outside. Who doesn’t enjoy a cosy tearoom selling homemade lunches, cakes and savouries?
Our tearoom is full of a tempting variety of light meals, cakes, cookies and savouries and we offer a fresh salad bar too. A state-of-the-art barista machine takes pride of place, serving all types of coffee. We consider all dietary requirements such as vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and decaffeinated products. We are lucky to have our inside and outside eating area facing south where customers can sit in the sunshine or if you prefer one of our bespoke inclosed picnic huts.
There is a beautiful garden to the rear which has attractive views, paved terrace, and colourful borders. Offering seating for 35 people, this peaceful suntrap, away from the noise and bustle of the town, is a perfect place to meet friends or escape to for a relaxing glass of wine or coffee. We have four large Picnic Huts offering both shade and protection from rain when necessary. We are dog friendly.
The Tearoom room is light and airy with natural wood flooring. It is also centrally heated for those cold winter days. For our menu, please see the Food section.
We accept afternoon tea reservations and our enquiry form is below. Please allow 24hours from enquiry to arrival so that we can prepare for your visit and ensure everything is ready for you.
